Justin Van Leeuwen is an Ottawa based commercial photographer, specializing in Portraits, Editorial, Event and Interior photography.
Justin has been published in a number of national and regional magazines and newspapers including Ottawa Magazine, Spacing Magazine, iRun, Our Homes Ottawa, The Kitchissippi Times, Centre Ice, and Ottawa Woman.
He has corporate clients that use his services to cover special events, as well as fulfilling their portrait and “custom stock” photography needs. Clients like Telus, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, MediaStyle, DNA11 and CanvasPop have all come back to Justin again and again for a variety of imaging requirements.
Not content always working “for the man,” Justin also enjoys working long hours with local businesses and individuals to help establish their visual image identity through photography to help better showcase their brand.
Justin dabbles in Family photography too, though it’s not necessarily what you might expect. His “Extreme Family” portraits have been featured on the Huffington Post and Yahoo!’s daily Flickr Blog. Interviews with JVL can be found at Imaging Resource, ProPhotoBlog.ca, and Petapixel.
Justin writes reviews for Canonrumors.com and has been known to post some work on MacGasm, Tiffinbox, and Petapixel. He is a FJ Westcott “Top Endorsed Pro” which means it’s legal for him to teach photography in several states (kidding). He also doesn’t often write or speak in the third person; it feels wrong.
Most importantly, he lives in Ottawa with his lovely wife, his step-son, and his own two trouble-makers who are too smart for their own good.
