It’s been a while since I’ve had any good pics of the kids – spending some time this weekend to make sure I do. If you haven’t put in a concerted effort into photographing the folks around who you love, I hope you do the same.
A great portrait
Great shot. The flare and the direct look from the child are powerful. I've seen many, many portraits with that stare, but most are from older people – it's rare to see it in a shot of a child.

Hey Mykl it's definitely processed. Aside from his face, I ran a tonal contrast filter over the whole image.
I wanted it to 'pop' more and lots of point and shoot shots are just too flat, admittedly I'm going through a bit of a phase.
