I am totally going to print this up and sell it as a limited print full of mood and moodiness and title it “Dows Mist” to moody EMO parents.

It’s so nice to be able to walk to work. Some people are like “Half an hour?” oh no! Those people obviously aren’t from Toronto – maybe it will get tougher after some serious snowfall, but it’s nothing, shit, I used to walk half an hour to my bus stop…

So I worked (Volun-told) for our annual fund raising event on Bank st. called Dancing in the Streets. I worked our booth handing out “smoke free Ontario” soccer balls (kick the habit: get it?) and had my camera tucked away in the backpack with the TWIP photo challenge in mind – circles. I’ve never been […]

Canada Day is crazy in the capital – I suppose all such national holiday’s are. I remember being in Bangcock over Thai new-years and it was a 3 day waterfight – no joke – almost 100 people died.

The grave of the Unknown Solider in the U.S. is guarded, ’round the clock, by an honour guard of select military. The best of the best, these guys march, protecting the tomb in rain and snow, unflinching and marching precisely. In Canada it’s in the middle of the street and people piss on it during […]

It’s been humid as hell out here this week – I’m pretty sure it has been everywhere. Our new bedroom is on the third floor of an old house – no vents up here. I’ve drank my weight twice over in water in just the past day – and I don’t even really do anything. […]

I love Orange pop with my Pizza – Brio or a Coke are okay too, but nothing quite goes with a strip of “Za” like a cool can of Orange Crush or C-Plus. Does anyone else have a favourite drink to have with something they eat? I know for Brad it’s beer Cherry Coke, or […]

So one of the most startling changes that I have to get used to by moving out of Toronto is the presence of blue skies and clouds. T.O. has a bit of a “smog” problem, and what that ends up doing is painting the skies with a thin veil of mist like yellow haze. Ottawa, […]

Anyone else figure out that the secret to a good fire was some birch-bark? Strip some of that – or better yet, find some dead wood – and whoosh! Your fire’s burning 5 times brighter. Probably not so good for the tree though.

I’ll be in Ottawa in a few weeks – anyone looking for a guy who can do stuff for cash? Brad, not that kind of stuff.

My bike has a flat front tire. It ALWAYS has a flat front tire – likely because I only try and ride it once a year, and by then the front tire has gone flat.

So that’s it, I’m land-lineless. My home phone has been disconnected, and I’m living solely off the cell and Skype. In case of an Emergency, I’ll have to bang some sticks together really loud or something. One question though: what was that last blinking message I never checked?

So I’m a bit embarrassed because I don’t usually post something that’s been run through a filter and then I say “good nuff” but I’m doing it here because I’ve been playing with the LucisArt filter (mostly with people) and everyone said how disgusting and scary the people looked – and they were a bit […]

Calculators have completely ruined my math skills. I can’t do basic shit, like multiplication… BASIC times table multiplication 6 times 7 and what-not. I used to be pretty good, when they had those math drills in school, or number crunchers on the Macintosh computers (they didn’t call them “Mac’s” then). Whiz whiz I’d finish my […]

Today is One Nigh Live; I’ll be photographing the event, from around noon to midnight. I’m pretty excited, especially since my momma got me a brand new 16gb CF card – that’s stick the camera down your pants and release the shutter for an hour kinda storage!

I apologize for the larger than usual image – especially those of you who subscribe through a feed reader – but I felt I wanted to show a bit more detail off in this image than what a standard 800 pixel width could accomplish. You can download a desktop background for this here

I think one of my shoulders is bigger now that I carry my camera around (though I’m embarrassed to say it rarely gets a chance to come out and actually DO anything). I know there are a few of us walking around with these shoulder bags from Crumpler, but how many of your ‘roamers’ out […]

Is it societal, as in “North American” to treat the roads better than we do the sidewalks? We plow them regularly, keep them salted, clean, safe. By doing so we are placing our priority on the automobiles that drive on the roadways, while burdening the people on their pathetic pedestrian walks. I know people who […]
