Drop and Bound

Drop and Bound
It’s great being in a new city – I see everything with new eyes.

Walking around Toronto, enough, got me bored, I was overlooking details, ignoring things that at one point I may have found interesting.

I’m also a bit more inspired here, there are a couple great reasons to take pictures all the time, even at home, but when I go out I’m just eyeing everything. For a while I was holding off, putting forward some sort of pretence that what I was looking at “wasn’t worth shotting” – well I’m not exactly good enough to be making that call.

I can’t afford to not take pictures, I need to practise this because I don’t have the natural talent, of some others.

Dows Mist

Dows Mist
I am totally going to print this up and sell it as a limited print full of mood and moodiness and title it “Dows Mist” to moody EMO parents.

European Sandwich

Yeah I just… I just can’t… yeah, no, no thank you, no.

Hotel de Ville

Hotel de Ville
Another image from Montréal last weekend. I was standing in the street taking these exposures when a guy in a car pulled up. Naturally I assumed I was going to get some sort of security beat down (because I had a tripod), but it turned out this guy had his Nikon with him and popped off a few exposures of his own.

We didn’t talk much, casually really
“Do this much?” He asked
“Not as often as I’d like,” I replied

And that’s the truth, I’d really like to do this, something like this right here more often. But maybe with a lighter tripod… and maybe after it stops snowing…

Simons

Simons
Like I said yesterday, Mel wanted to shop. Retail therapy is very soothing for a woman (call me a misogynist? If I took you shopping, would you spend my money? That’s right, thought so, especially you, Barb.).

I was also introduced to Simons for the first time, I’m sure anyone who’s even been near there knows of it – it’s mecca for this years fashion. 3 floors of pure styles, women, girls, men, boys, it doesn’t matter, they have something that you NEED TO WEAR here. Now if only I had the sense to know what actually LOOKED good – I still think my Autobot logo T-shirt is dope.
