Mel’s back at work in the morning, after over a year on maternity and sick leave, I’m sure the walk to the bus stop is solemn and depressing. I wish I could be there for her, but it’s not quite like taking your kid to school – I do have the feeling that she’ll buck-up as soon as she sees her old work friends and gets to hang out in the cafeteria… that’s what the cool kids do.
So if you could do me a favour, and just drop a comment on the blog here wishing her well (thanking her for taking a year to raise our AWESOME son) I think she’d appreciate the randomness of the shout-outs.
Good luck today Mel! I can only imagine how hard it is is for you to go back but do remember to have a little fun and that absences makes the heart grow fonder (if its possible for your heart to grow fonder of your little (and big) boys) Justin suggested the random shout outs might be fun and I think he is right.
I don't have kids yet but I already have thoughts about all the decisions to come with babies, maternity leave, going to work, etc., etc. Wishing Mel all the best in this transition!
Hope you had a great day today, Mel. And have one tomorrow too!
I don't know you personally – but good luck Mel! My sister just had a baby THEN moved to California so has no friends or family around. So you're blessed to be close to home (i assume you are). All the best!
Good luck Mel! We haven't met either but I've heard good things 🙂 Great blog Justin. Keep it up.
Wayne
I hope all went well and continues to go well, Mel.
p.s. nice shot.
