a gift

a gift
This dude was given to me as a gift by my good friend Glenda a few years ago as a housewarming gift (G – let me know if I got that wrong), and he’s been having a hard time ever since. This year I’ve put it up in my computer/book room, let’s call it the library, and he’s been happy as hell, flowering every few weeks.

    At first I was thinking a tighter crop was in order … but then it would be the same as EVERY other flower picture. And who wants that? Maybe a smaller aperature and get that bg in focus.. that would be cool too.

    I like the DOF here – can still make out the details. Great texture on the petals.
