Alarma
The title of this should read “I went on a photowalk and all I got was this lousy texture shot,” but really, I got so much more.

This past Saturday was the 3rd year of the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, and the second year I was a group leader. There’s not much credit to take as leader though, it’s not a workshop so I’m free from having to teach anyone anything – not that I could – the talent present this year is totally blowing my mind.

While I barely took any shots myself, the group has been filling up our flickr pool with some fantastic art. You can see their work here.

The group was full of generous, friendly, genuine folk; the kind you’d invite over to your house, if your house could hold 50 people. Definitely something I should look into for later…

It's a cartoon character wearing a helmet that says "Sprinkler Alarm &c." on it. Strapped around the helmet is a lamp for spelunking. As it turns out, he spelunked his way through some dark caves, right up into an old building, before finally breaking a hole through the wall and emerging, covered in light-colored clay. Good find!
