I’ve been taking pictures just fine lately – it’s sitting down and processing them that’s the trick. I’m often happy enough with the RAW image, but sometimes I almost NEED to enhance it in Photoshop, just do something y’know? Granted, I still lack the proper skills to get them exactly the way I want, but I’m getting close – and I’m pretty happy with this one.

This is like me with Ice Cream, if I go by a place that sells it…

As an agreement of sale on our new house, the front yard perennials were not included as chattel with purchase. So a few weeks ago the previous owners came and dug out all of the perennials – that’s right – everything that was in the yard. So we had a big ugly maple tree, some box hedges, and some turned up soil, while our son was still in the hospital, as we were moving in, and as – and they knew – didn’t pay their final water bill, for a window that was broken and needed replacing BEFORE we moved ($1,000!!), and the ridiculous fucking mess under our back deck which was also in our agreement of sale.
Luckily our community collectively agreed that the previous owners were douche-bags and randomly planted some stuff in our yard as we filled in the gaps with purchases from the market.

Mel said I should print this one out for the girls mother, which I will, but I think I’ll get her to hand it to the lady.
The scenario: “Hi, I was taking pictures of your pretty little girl here – don’t believe me? Here’s printed proof!”
Lady – “KICK PUNCH!”
Nuff said.

I used to like to swing as high as I could, basically high enough that gravity, not centripetal (or is it centrifugal?)force pulled the swing down. At the apex, the absolute highest my own momentum would take me, I’d let go of the swing, suspended in air for a brief moment as I slowly drifted down back to the ground – I’d land with a hard thud – especially depending on my height, but the experience was vivid and unbelievable.
I get the same feel on some of those park rides that swing back and forth and eventually up-side-down.
